Pistol Club Working Bee:
Thanks to the eight cadets who attended the Waikato Pistol club’s Sunday working bee. You all did a great job in building the retaining wall. As a result of your efforts the Pistol club have invited the eight of you down to the club for a free pistol shoot one Wednesday night, which the Training Officers will arrange.
Term Fee’s:
For those personnel paying their Squadron fee’s by the term, these are now due and invoices will be issued this evening, with payment required by the 20th. There is a large amount of overdue monies, cadets owning this may find themselves being excluded from supplementary training unless it is paid or arrangements are made with the PSC to pay the amount off.
Woodbourne Day Walk:
Weather permitting Woodbourne Flight are hoping to complete their day walk this Saturday 31st of July. Cadet from this flight will get their own briefing sheet.
Inter Hamilton Comp:
The NZCF Inter Hamilton Competition, which was to be held this Sunday has been cancelled as the other three Hamilton NZCF units are unable to attend.
Shooting Practice:
In place of the Inter unit comp, there will be a shooting practice at the Waikato pistol club from 10:00 hours until 14:00. Cadets are to bring lunch, a drink and a $1.00. On Sunday 8th August NZCF are running a Shooting coaches course for officers and they will require cadets to coach at the Leamington range.
NZCF Courses:
Eligible cadets interested in attending the next Junior Leaders course which is to be held at Philomel should return a completed NZCF8’s in the next couple weeks. Other exercises open to cadets in the next holidays include See Navy and Air Force Experience.
Polar Bear Camp:
No 75 (Arawa) SQN have extended an invitation to our cadets to attend their annual Camp Polar Bear, to be held at Waiotapu Forest School camp, South of Rotorua from the 13th – 15th of August at a cost of $45.00. Anyone wishing to attend must return an NZCF8 next week, the camp is open to everyone, however, you will need to arrange your own transport. Payment are to be made direct to No 75 SQN upon arrival at camp.
Flying:
Our next lot of cadet flying will take place on Saturday 14th August. Weather depended there will be power flying for $45.00 or helicopter for $90.00. NZCF 8’s and money must be in by next week. This exercise is weather dependant therefore refunds will only be made if we are forced to make a postponement.
Cadet Ball:
The Annual 7 SQN Ball will take place on Saturday 21st August: This is not a Cadet exercise, however, it is a PSC sanctioned fundraising event. Tickets are now available from the PSC at $30 per head. Cadets are welcome to invite non NZCF personnel as their guests for the night, however, remember the Code of Behaviour applies to everyone including your guests. Dress code will be Semi formal; Males – dress trousers and a collared shirt. Females – dress or skirt.
